SAN FRANCISCO—The University of Idaho women's tennis team kicked off a its three-game road swing with a 4-0 win over the University of San Francisco on Monday.
Idaho (3-3) swept the doubles point to open the match. The Vandals picked up 6-2 wins across all three courts.
Laura Spataro put the Vandals up 2-0 with her 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 to open single play.
Maria Tavares picked up Idaho's third point of the day, going 6-3, 6-3 at the No. 2 position. No. 39
Marianna Petrei closed out the win for Idaho, going 6-4, 6-2 over USF's No. 1.
The Vandals will continue the trip on Wednesday with a pair of matches. Idaho will take on Sacramento State in Big Sky play and wrap up the day with UC Davis.
