LA JOLLA, Calif.
– It was another solid day for Idaho track and field, with a number of student-athletes moving up the Big Sky rankings after outstanding performances at the Triton Invitational.
 
Austin Beyer earned the top finish on the day, taking third among Division I athletes in the javelin invitational.  Beyer, currently ranked fourth in the Big Sky, threw a personal-best 60.55 meters (198-8).
 
Jonny Magee picked up a pair of top-5 finishes.  He finished fourth in the long jump invitational at 6.74 meters (22-1.50) and fifth in the triple jump invitational with a leap of 14.51 meters (47-7.25).
 
A pair of Vandals finished in the top-5 in the 1500-meters, led by Andrea Condie.  Condie took fourth with a personal-best time of 4:31.84, while Krista Story finished close behind in fifth at 4:32.36.
 
Austin Fred moved into the top-10 in the Big Sky in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing fourth overall with a time of 9:30.43.  Caleb Seely posted a personal-best time of 3:54.78 in the 1500-meters, finishing 5th among Division I athletes.
 
Chloe Woest and Cecilia Watkins set or tied season-bests in the pole vault.  Woest finished fifth at 3.50 meters (11-5.75), while Watkins was seventh at 3.35 meters (10-11.75).
 
Jordyn Rauer moved up in the Big Sky rankings in the triple jump, finishing sixth with a personal-best leap of 11.94 meters (39-2.25).  Hannah Ringel also moved up in the conference rankings, finishing 10th in the shot put with a personal-best toss of 13.21 meters (43-4.25).
