BOISE, Idaho
Mark Kovacs is now alone atop the Idaho record books, notching his program-record 96th win, as Idaho took down Boise State on the road, 4-3, to close out the regular season.

Kovacs paired up with Carlos Longhi Neto to take No. 1 doubles, 6-2, to give Idaho the doubles point.  Kooper Crow and Felipe Fonseca got doubles started with a win at No. 3, also by a score of 6-2.

Kovacs made quick work in his No. 1 singles match, defeating Jack Heslin, 6-4, 6-2 to pass Alan Shin (2008-12) and set the record.  Boise State would go on to win the next three, at No. 6, No. 2 and No. 4, forcing the Vandals to close out with two wins to take the match.

And that they did.  Esteban Santibanez rallied after dropping a close second set to take No. 5 singles, 6-4, 5-7, 6-1.  Longhi Neto would then secure the victory for Idaho at No. 3, winning 2-6, 7-6 (7-1), 7-5.

The Vandals had already wrapped up the regular season crown, after finishing the conference campaign 10-1.  Idaho will open Big Sky Championship play on April 26 in Phoenix, Ariz.
