Pair of Vandals Win at WAR XI

SPOKANE, Wash.
– Idaho track and field made the quick trip up to Spokane for the 11th annual WAR, hosted by Spokane Falls Community College.
 
Jonny Magee dominated the triple jump with a leap of 14.54 meters (47-8.50), tying his personal-best and moving into sixth in the Big Sky this season.  Hannah Ringel won the shot put with a throw of 13.07 meters (42-10.75).
 
Kaylee Hove ran a personal-best of 25.54 seconds in the 200-meters to take second.  Jordyn Rauer placed sixth in the triple jump, clearing 11.15 meters (36-7.00).
 
Maya McFadden also earned a sixth-place finish, throwing a personal-best 37.66 meters (123-7.00) in the javelin.  Makenna Behrens placed eighth in the event at 36.03 meters (118-2.00).
 
Nik Chappee finished fifth in the 200-meters with a time of 22.29 seconds.  He also placed sixth in the 100-meter dash at 11.26 seconds.  Austin Beyer was eighth in the javelin at 54.55 meters (179-0.00).  Nicole Carter was eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.24 seconds.
 
Next up for Idaho is the Triton Invitational.
