LAST TIME OUT: Idaho defeated Grambling State, 3-1, to earn Jeremy Clevenger his first career Division I win.

As a team, Idaho worked the ball well all game.  Morgan Crosby was the benefactor for Idaho's first goal, picking up the ball about 30 yards out after a string of passes between Bridget Daley, Myah Merino and Maddie Haas.  Crosby's shot was perfect, finding the upper 90 to put the Vandals up one early.

Kayla Watanabe would double Idaho's advantage later in the half, scoring her first goal since 2015, after missing all of 2016 due to injury.  Again, the Vandals were able to get into space with great ball movement.  This time, it began with the back line, before making it up to Watanabe.  She did the rest, beating her defender and sending in a low shot toward the far post.  Juliana deTar did her part without touching the ball, forcing the goalkeeper to make the wrong decision by making a great run across the ball.

Crosby would put the Vandals up three early in the second, following up on a rebound.

MATCHUP: Idaho is 4-0-0 all-time against North Dakota.  The squads have met in each of the last four seasons, since Idaho joined the Big Sky Conference.  This will likely be the final meeting for a while, with North Dakota departing for the Summit League this season.

Last year, Idaho got the 2-1 win in Grand Forks.  The Vandals took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a beautiful goal from Taylor Brust, then reclaimed the lead in the second with Merino netting the game-winner.

There are a number of connections on the coaching staffs Friday.  North Dakota head coach, Chris Logan, and Idaho head coach Jeremy Clevenger worked together at Northern Iowa in 2016.  Current UND associate head coach, Josh Davis, was associate head coach of the Vandals from 2016-17, after serving two years as an assistant with the program.

BIG SKY HONORS: Crosby took home Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week honors for her two-goal performance.  She is the first Big Sky soccer player to score twice in a game this season.
