FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Idaho men's golf sits in 15th place after two consistent rounds on the first day of the 2018-19 season, to open the Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State. The Vandals shot a 294 in the first round and a 293 in the second round to finish the day at 27-over (587), 10 strokes back of a four-way tie for eighth place.
Senior
Enrique Marin fired a 3-under 67 in the opening round and a 3-over 73 in the second to sit in a tie for 14th at even par. Marin is seven strokes off the lead, but just two back of a top-10 spot.
Freshman
Colt Sherrell made his collegiate debut Monday, carding a 78 in the first round but leading the Vandals with a 72 in the second round. Fellow newcomer
Sean Langham rebounded from an opening-round 82 to fire a 73 in the second round.
The final round of the Ram Masters Invitational is set for Tuesday. The Vandals will tee off on the back nine, starting at 8:38 a.m. MT.
