With last season's 2-1 loss against the Portland State Vikings replaying in their minds, the Idaho Vandals came out full force Friday night with a 4-0 win over the Vikings. 



Both the Vandals and Vikings had issues getting close to the opposing teams goal in the first period. However Bridget Daley gave the Vandals a 1-0 lead scoring her first of the night with a drive down the middle assisted by Clair Johnson.

Heading into the second period the matchup turned physical as the Vikings tried to put points on the board.

Bridget Daley scored from an assist off Anna Rose Wiencek eights minutes into the second period then added her third of the night ten minutes later with another assist from Clair Johnson. Less than a minute after Daley's third goal Myah Merino scored unassisted giving the Vandals a 4-0 lead with twenty six minutes to play.

Vandal goalkeeper Makayla Presgrave kept her net clean in the first period but recorded three saves in the second. Both teams were given cards in the second, Vandal Keysie Bruce a yellow card while the Vikings received two yellow and one red against Rilee Castilla.
