PULLMAN, Wash. – Competition at the WSU Indoor meet began on Friday night, with a handful of Vandals moving up the Big Sky rankings.
Karina Moreland edged
Jordyn Rauer in the triple jump to take second overall. Moreland's best leap of the night landed at 11.54 meters (37-10.50), while Rauer finished at 11.47 meters (37-7.25).
Jonny Magee placed fourth in the men's event at 13.92 meters (45-8.00), moving into the top-five in the Big Sky in the event.
Cullen Williams and
Zachary Short placed third and fourth in the weight throw. Williams broke 17 meters for the first time this season with a toss of 17.49 meters (57-4.75) while Short threw a PR of 16.83 meters (55-2.75).
Competition concludes on Saturday.
