FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.— It seemed like Idaho could make a shot anywhere on the court as the Vandals (10-8, 7-2 Big Sky) made 15 threes in the 86-69 victory at Northern Arizona (6-13, 2-8 Big Sky) Thursday night.
Four scored in double-figures and Idaho, for the second time this season, dished out 19 assists. The Splash Sisters,

Taylor Pierce, led the way with 21 points and four assists apiece while Pierce also went 7-of-16 from behind the arc. Freshman
Janie King caught fire going 4-of-6 from the three with 12 points,
Isabelle Hadden tacked on 10 points and
Gina Marxen totaled a team-high six assists.
Natalie Klinker battle in the post grabbing 11 boards for Idaho, her seventh double-figure boards this season.
THE GAME
The Vandals had complete control of the game from the tip taking a 13-4 lead after six minutes of action in the first quarter. At the intermission, Idaho secured a 50-33 lead after outscoring the Lumberjack in both quarters by 17-points.
The third quarter started with back-to-back triples from the Splash Sisters which only added to the Vandals growing momentum that they carried for the rest of the game. The Vandals continued to dominate offensively ending the quarter, 70-50. The Lumberjacks outscored Idaho in the final quarter, but the Vandals had a comfortable enough lead to close out the game, 86-69, in the end.
THE QUOTES—Jon Newlee
I thought we were solid. When you're on the road, it's critical at times to get out to a good lead early because it makes your job a lot easier. The first couples of threes we had at the start of the second half put them back on their heels. It took away any momentum they were hoping to get for a comeback. I thought that those were critical, getting stops and jumping out on them right after the half was big. I also thought we did a decent job of keeping them off the foul line. They attack so hard that sometimes they get those calls and defensively we did a good job covering their best players.
(On Janie King's performance) Janie [King] came off the bench and gave us a jump start. We had a cold patch in there, but Janie stepped up and filled that void. She did a great job.
(Rebounding and Natalie Klinker's 11 boards) By and large, I thought we did a pretty decent job on the glass. We could do better, but I liked our team effort. Natalie [Klinker] rebounded the heck out of the basketball. She was battling in the paint, even when things got physical. Although it never gets too physical for the Klinker girls.
