Football Signs Robert Miller

Junior college transfer boosts Vandal linebacker group

MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho football signed junior college linebacker Robert Miller to a financial aid agreement, head coach Paul Petrino announced. Miller is enrolled at Idaho for the spring semester and began classes Wednesday. He will enter the fall as a redshirt junior with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Miller played in all 21 games during his two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College after transferring from Memphis, where he redshirted in 2016. He helped the Rangers to 16 wins, two playoff appearances and one bowl game in two seasons. For his career, Miller recorded 94 tackles, six tackles for loss, three sacks. He also forced one fumble, recovered two and broke up five passes. Prior to his sophomore campaign, Miller was named to the JCGridiron Outside Linebacker Watch List.

Prior to Northwest Mississippi, Miller was rated as a two-star safety at Olive Branch High School. He racked up 118 tackles, seven TFLs, two sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery as a senior.

Miller is one of 11 new Vandals enrolled for the spring semester.
