Idaho begins six game road trip against the San Francisco Dons

MOSCOW, Idaho—
The Idaho Women's Basketball team will travel San Francisco, California on Monday, November 18th, to take on the University of San Francisco. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. PT.

This will be the sixth time all-time the Vandals have faced the Dons and the fourth time on the road.

SCOUTING IDAHO

Idaho enters its second road contest of the season against San Francisco 1-1 on the season after a 61-54 win at home last week over Colorado State.
The Vandals were led by senior Isabelle Hadden and freshman Caitlyn Jones who each totaled 12 points in the win. Behind the leaders in scoring was senior Lizzy Klinker with nine points. Gina Marxen, the 2018-19 Big Sky Freshman of the Year, and a Preseason All-Conference selection this season, added eight points and led the Vandals in rebounds with a career-high 12. Marxen also led the Vandals in assists with five.
Caitlyn Jones debuted against the Rams with 12 points off the bench, on 4-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Aside from Jones' 12 points last time out, Lizzy Klinker leads the Vandals in scoring with 11.5 points on the season.
Marxen and Allison Kirby, who has been impactful off the bench for Idaho this season, each lead the Vandals in rebounds with 7.5 per game.
Marxen is also averaging 4.0 assists per game to lead Idaho.

SCOUTING SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco enters its fourth game of the season with one blemish on the record.
The Dons enter the matchup 2-1 overall after a 79-61 over CSUN on Saturday. The only loss of the season for the Dons came to No. 3 ranked Stanford 97-71in the Chase Center.
The Dons finished 7-24 last season and 2-16 in the West Coast Conference.
Ioanna Krimill currently leads the Dons in scoring on the season with 19.0 points per game. Krimill dropped a season-high 32 in the first game of the season at Northern Colorado.
Behind Krimill are three other players averaging double-digits this season, including Mikayla Williams scoring 15.7 per game.
Leah Vigil is the Dons' rebounding leader with 9.7 per game.
San Francisco is averaging 80 points per game, however they are allowing 80 points to their opponents.


LAST TIME OUT

Idaho last faced San Francisco on December 1st, 2018 in Moscow, Idaho. The Vandals topped the Dons 70-63.
Former Vandal great, Mikayla Ferenz dropped 40 points in the win. Nina Carlson was second behind Ferenz in scoring with eight points off the bench.The Vandals shot poorly from the field in the win but made 20-22 attempts from the free-throw line.
