MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team will open the 2019-20 season on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The game against The Evergreen State College (2-0) will be held in Memorial Gym.

FRESH FACES
Idaho returns less than half of its scoring from a year ago, with a majority of that coming from senior Trevon Allen.
There are nine newcomers on the Vandals this season including six transfers and three freshmen.
Allen is the only senior on the squad, however, Quinton Forrest is a graduate transfer this season.
CLAUS ERA
After spending four years as an assistant, Zac Claus was named the interim head coach of the Vandals over the summer.
SEASON PREMIER
The Vandals will be looking to turn around the recent history of Idaho season openers. They have lost the initial game of the year the last two years.
In the last five seasons, Idaho is 3-2 in season openers.
On the other hand, the Vandals are 4-1 in home openers over the last five years.
The Vandals were last 1-0 in 2016-17 when they defeated Corban, 90-67.
SEASON PREP
The Vandals played two exhibition games during preseason, hosting Central Washington and Lewis-Clark State College.
Trevon Allen, Marquell Fraser, and Quinton Forrest each reached double digit points in both games, while BJ Simmons chipped in 15 points against the Warriors.
LAST MEETING: The Vandals and Geoducks have only met once, with Idaho winning the 2008-09 season opener, 91-69.
