CHENEY, Wash.— Idaho women's basketball team is set to play Eastern Washington on Monday at Reese Court in Cheney. Tip is set for 2:05 p.m. Fans can watch live on PlutoTV, follow live stats or listen to Doug Taylor at GoVandals.com/Listen.
 
FASTBREAK
  • Idaho enters the contest after a 77-72 defeat at Northern Colorado on Saturday.
  • Mikayla Ferenz recorded her 21st double-figure game with 26 points while Taylor Pierce posted her 19th with 19 points. Lizzy Klinker scored 12 points, and Natalie Klinker grabbed 11 boards.
  • The Vandals dropped to second in league standings with a 10-3 conference record. Portland State gained the lead with an 11-3 record while both Idaho State and Northern Colorado sit tied for fourth, 11-4.
  • Idaho leads the season series against EWU, after beating the Eagles 84-68 back on Jan 3, 2019, in Moscow.
  • The Eagles look to avenge the loss and add a game in the win column in the all-time series, which Idaho trails 32- 42. The Vandals are 13-24 at Reese Court.
  • Ferenz, who is ninth in the nation and first in the conference in scoring, leads the Vandals with 22.5 points per game. Pierce, who is not too far behind the Big Sky Preseason MVP, averages 18.5 points per game and is the nation's leader in three-pointers made per game (4.6).
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
  • The Eagles are 2-7 on their home court this year, but the team has started the month of February strong going 3-1 on the month.
  • EWU's heads into Monday's game coming off a league upset where they knocked off Northern Colorado on Feb. 14, 76-72 in Greeley.
  • Violet Kapri Morrow paces the Eagles in scoring with 19.5 ppg and is ranked 31st in the NCAA (3rd in Big Sky). Freshman Grace Kirscher also manages a double-figure average in scoring with 10.3 ppg.
  • Knocking down 8.1 triples per game, the Eagles ranks behind the Vandals in both the conference and national standings for threes per game.
