CHENEY, Wash. — Monday afternoon's game ended in a bit of a controversy as Idaho women's basketball upended the Eagles, 75-74 inside Reese Court.
Â
With 1.6 seconds left in regulation, the Vandals were able to launch the ball down court to
Lizzy Klinker who passes it to senior
Mikayla Ferenz, who led all scorers with 29 points. Ferenz banked in the triple after the final buzzer sounded, but the game was not finished as the officials conducted a review of the official clock. After a lengthy review, the officials confirmed that the clock started too soon and declared the Vandals victorious.
Taylor Pierce added 13 points while
Gina Marxen scored 11.
Lizzy Klinker owned the glass with 12 boards.
