The Vandals and the Wildcats will tip off at 6:30 p.m. PT Thursday at McKale Center.

Idaho women's hoops is playing in the WNIT for the third time in program history. The Vandals have not made it this far in the WNIT bracket since the Hall of Fame 1986 team. The Vandals defeated Loyola-Marymount in the first round and most recently bested the University of Denver, 88-66, in front of a home crowd of 1,230 fans. Mikayla Ferenz had a 33-point performance where she was 12-of-25 from the field. Taylor Pierce and Gina Marxen scored 16 points while Natalie Klinker led the Vandals on the boards with nine.

The Big Sky Regular-Season Champions finished the season 20-11, after falling to Portland State in the conference tournament semifinals. Idaho earned the Big Sky's auto-bid finishing at the No. 1 seed at the end of the conference season.
