RESULTS

SPOKANE, Wash. – Idaho track and field made the quick trip up to Spokane for the 8^th Annual Whitworth Twilight Meet.  The Vandals performed well, with nine individual wins.
 
Zachary Short set the facility record at 18.11 meters (59-5.00) to win the shot put competition.  He is currently ranked first in the Big Sky in the event.  Short also won the discus at 52.69 meters (172-10).  Ed Hall finished second at 47.66 meters (156-4).
 
Anna Pecha and Makenna Schuler took the top two spots in the 800.  Pecha won the race with a time of 2:19.80, while Schuler finished second at 2:22.01.  Jordyn Rauer won the triple jump with a season-best leap of 11.68 meters.  Greta Kuhne and Lauren Curlanis took the next two spots, with jumps of 10.97 meters (36-0.00) and 10.57 meters (34-8.25), respectively.
 
Aaryanna Kurucz got the win in the 400-meter hurdles, moving into the top-eight in the Big Sky with a time of 1:02.19, a new personal best.  Chloe Woest also earned an individual title, winning the pole vault after clearing 3.57 meters (11-8.50).  Hannah Ringel won the shot put with a throw of 13.74 meters (45-1.00).  She is currently ranked second in the Big Sky in the event.  Ringel also placed second in the hammer throw at 47.72 meters (156-7), a new PR.
 
Cullen Williams set a new PR in the hammer throw to win the event.  His throw of 57.10 meters (187-4) also moves him into the top-eight in the Big Sky.  Mack Baxter won the 400-meter hurdles at 53.50 seconds, winning by nearly 1.5 seconds.  Cole Alteneder finished third with a time of 55.52 seconds.
 
Henrike Fiedler earned second in the 100-meter dash at 12.36 seconds.  She also finished second in the 100-meter hurdles, posting a time of 15.23 seconds.  Lauren Paven earned second in the 400, finishing in 59.14 seconds.  Nathalia Campos placed second with a time of 4:42.19 in the 1500.  Makenna Behrens finished second in the javelin with a throw of 39.09 meters (128-3).
 
On the men's side, Kaizer Gillispie finished second in the 200-meters at 22.03 seconds.  Jonny Magee's top jump of 6.77 meters (22-2.50) was good enough for second in the long jump.  Nathyn Maller threw 56.25 meters (184-6) to finish second in the javelin.
