CORVALLIS, Ore. – Idaho track and field had a solid weekend, splitting between the OSU High Performance Meet and the Cougar Invitational.

Henrike Fiedler had a strong day overall. She won the long jump at 5.85 meters (19-2.50). She also moved up the Big Sky rankings in the 100-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 14.60 seconds.

Kaizer Gillispie earned a win in the 400-meters, finishing in 48.28. He is currently ranked fourth in the conference in the event.Â
Zachary Short dominated the shot put competition to win by more than two meters at 18.52 meters (60-9.25).

Nathan Burton ran the fastest 800-meter time of the day, winning his heat in 1:53.30 to set a new PR.Â
Jenner Higgins won the 800-meter invitational in 1:53.75.

The men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Mack Baxter,
Nathan Burton,
Jenner Higgins and Gillispie won the event in 3:17.61.

Aaryanna Kurucz placed second in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:02.64. She is currently ranked inside the top-eight in the Big Sky in the event. Baxter took second on the men's side in 53.43 seconds, while
Cole Alteneder was fourth with a collegiate-best time of 54.99 seconds.Â
Nathyn Maller finished third in the javelin with a throw of 56.92 meters (186-9).

Cougar Invitational
Â
A handful of student-athletes also stayed local, competing at the Cougar Invitational in Pullman.
Â
Britt Ipsen won the long jump with a collegiate-best of 6.96 meters (22-10.00) to move just outside of the top-10 in the Big Sky.

Hannah Ringel took first in the shot put competition with a throw of 14.46 meters (47-5.25). She also placed third in the hammer throw at 44.46 meters (145-10).Â
Austin Beyer won the javelin with a throw of 61.31 meters (201-2).

Nik Chappee won the 400-meter dash at 49.86 seconds, and placed second in the 200-meters with a time of 22.29 seconds.
Â
Jonny Magee finished second in the triple jump at 14.42 meters (47-3.75). He is currently ranked fifth in the Big Sky.Â
Ed Hall took second in the discus with a throw of 47.18 meters (154-9), and
Cullen Williams finished third in the hammer throw at 52.61 meters (172-7).
