LAST MEETING: Idaho fell to Boise State last season, 2-1, in Boise. The Broncos scored early in each half, but the Vandals were able to cut into the lead midway through the second half on a goal from
Savannah Foster. The Vandals had their chances late, but couldn't find the back of the net for the equalizer.
Â
The previous meeting was one for the ages. The matchup was the first game played indoors and saw 4,171 fans pack the Kibbie Dome. Boise State hung on to a lead for most of the contest, but the Vandals were able to force overtime with 0.4 seconds remaining and ultimately earn the tie.
Â
THE TEAM: The Vandals return 15 letterwinners, including seven starters, from last year's squad that went 6-1-2 in Big Sky play to finish second overall. Head coach
Jeremy Clevenger and his staff have also bolstered the lineup in the offseason, adding 12 newcomers to the mix.
NEXT: Up next is a quick trip to California to take on CSU Bakersfield at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Check back with GoVandals.com on Saturday for more information.
