RIVERSIDE, Calif.– A challenging road trip lies ahead for Idaho soccer, with games at UC Riverside and Cal Baptist this weekend.  The Vandals will first take on the Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, then travel to the Lancers for a 1 p.m. kickoff on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT: Idaho was taken down by UC Santa Barbara, 3-0, in the Dome on Sunday.  The Gauchos struck early, scoring in the 10^th, 15^th and 21^st minutes to seal the win.
 
SERIES HISTORY: Idaho is 1-4-2 all-time against UC Riverside.  The last meeting came in 2017, with Idaho taking the 1-0 win on the road.  The matchup was a chippy one, with eight total cards.  Idaho didn't break through until the 89^th minute, as Taylor Brust's through ball took a deflection off of a Riverside defender and slipped across the line.
 
Idaho has never faced Cal Baptist.
 
COMMON OPPONENTS: UC Riverside fell to CSU Bakersfield earlier this season, 2-1.  Idaho defeated the Roadrunners, 1-0, the week prior.  Idaho and Cal Baptist have not faced a common opponent yet, but the Lancers have faced two Big Sky opponents already in Southern Utah and Sacramento State.  CBU defeated Southern Utah, 1-0, and tied Sacramento State, 2-2.
 
UCR and CBU have also met this season.  Cal Baptist got the win on the road, 3-1.
 
NEXT: The Vandals will make a quick trip to Oregon State on Thursday, Oct. 19.
