MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho volleyball rallied to force a fifth set and ran away from Sacramento State in the decisive frame to win 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 15-5) and improve to 2-0 in Big Sky Conference play Saturday, at Memorial Gym.
Kennedy Warren led a balanced attack with 14 kills, and the Vandals (6-8, 2-0 Big Sky) punished the Hornets (6-8, 1-1 Big Sky) at the net to the tune of 15 blocks.

Idaho scored six of the last seven points in the fourth set to win 25-22 and stay alive.
Avery Housley had six of her 12 kills in the set. The Vandals rattled off the first six points of the fifth set and cruised to victory.

Warren and Housley were joined in double digits in the kills column by
Paige Rupiper, who led the team with 44 attempts and assisted on four blocks.

Kyra Palmbush assisted on seven of Idaho's 15 blocks. The Vandals turned away seven Sacramento State attacks in the fourth set alone, aiding in the comeback.

Idaho will be on the road for its next four matches, playing the Montana schools next Thursday and Friday, followed by trips to Eastern Washington (Oct. 8) and Northern Colorado (Oct. 12). The Vandals will be back in Memorial Gym for two matches during Homecoming Week, playing on back-to-back nights Oct. 17 and 18.
