PORTLAND, Ore. – Idaho bounced back in a major way in the afternoon match, sweeping Utah State in three sets.  The Vandals close out play at the North Portland Marriot Invite against local rival, Washington State, at 10:30 a.m.
 
Kennedy Warren led the way again with 10 kills.  Redshirt freshman Emily Smith also added 10 kills while hitting .348.
 
Idaho came out ready to start the second match of the day.  The Vandals took an early lead in the opening set and maintained throughout, closing on a 6-1 run to take the set 25-18.
 
The Vandals got out to a slow start in the second but turned things on early to get up by as many as nine.  Idaho would cruise to the set win, 25-15.
 
The third set was much of the same for the Vandals.  The Aggies were able to keep things close early, tying the set up at 14, but Idaho went on a 6-1 run from there to build a lead it would not relinquish.  Idaho would take the set, 25-17, and sweep the match.
 
Idaho closes out play in Portland against Washington State at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
