MOSCOW, Idaho—Following a thrilling double-overtime win last week over Montana State, the Idaho women's basketball will host Eastern Washington and Montana in conference play this week.
The Vandals return to Cowan-Spectrum arena following a two-game road trip to Portland State and Montana State. Idaho handed Montana State its first conference loss of the season last week 69-68 in double-overtime.
Thursday's game against Eastern Washington will mark the 78
th meeting all time between the two programs will be streamed live on Pluto TV Channel 542 at 5:30 p.m and it part of a double-header. The Idaho Men's Basketball team will take on the men of Eastern Washington 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women's game. On Saturday at 2 p.m. the Vandals will host Montana in the 55

SCOUTING IDAHO
Idaho enters its fifth conference game of the season against Eastern Washington Thursday night 8-5 overall and 3-1 in Big Sky play.
Gina Marxen leads the Vandals in scoring this season with 14.0 points per game and in assist with 3.5 per game. In the win over Montana State Marxen contributed 14 points n 40 percent shooting form beyond-the-arc. Marxen also dished out five assists and recorded three steals int the win. The sophomore form Sammamish, Washington leads the Big Sky in three-pointers made (44) and three-pointers made per game (3.4). Over the last four games Marxen has drained 20 three-pointers and is averaging 5.0 per game. In addition, Marxen leads the Big Sky in minutes player per game with 37.8.
Beyonce Bea is right behind Marxen, averaging 13,3 points per game, and leads the Vandals on the boards with 6.8 rebounds per game. Bea led Idaho in scoring with 26 points against Montana State including a three-pointer to force overtime. The freshman from Washougal, Washington is playing an average of 35.5 minutes per game this season, more than any freshmen in the conference, and played a team-high 46 minutes against Montana State. Bea has scored in double-figures a team-high nine times this season.
Lizzy Klinker rounds out a group of three Vandals averaging double-figure points per game with 10.5 per game this season. Klinker posted just five points against Montana State but led the team in rebounds with 10.
Idaho leads the Big Sky Conference defensively, holding its opponents to 59.5 points per game. The Vandals are holding opposing teams to a conference-best 35.1 percent field-goal percentage as well as a conference-best 24.9 percent three-point percentage. In addition, Idaho leads the Big Sky in defensive rebounding with 29.2 per game and in turnovers per game with a conference-best 12.6 per game.
SCOUTING EASTERN WASHINGTON
Eastern Washington travels to Moscow 2-11 overall and 1-3 in the Big Sky following three consecutive losses. The Eagles most recently dropped a road contest to Montana 92-54 this past weekend. EWU enters its eighth road contest of the season with an 0-7 away record. The lone conference win for the Eagles came against Weber state 63-53 at home.
Grace Kirscher leads the Eagles offensively with 10.2 point per game while Bella Cravens leads the team in rebounds with 8.6 per game. Cravens and Kennedy Nicholas from Sacramento State lead the Big Sky in rebounds per game with 8.6 each.
Jenna Dick has been a bright spot for the Eagles this season and is leading the conference in three-point percentage shooting 39.4 percent on the season, just ahead of
Gina Marxen who is shooting 36.7 percent.
At time this season the Eagles have had success shooting the ball from beyond-the-arc. EWU is averaging the third most three-pointers made per game in the Big Sky (7.8) and is shooting 30.8 percent from three-point range.

The Eagles and Vandals last met on Feb. 18
th, 2019 in Cheney, Washington. The Vandals defeated EWU 75-74, their 35
th win in the series.
The Eagles lead the series all-time 42-35 dating back to the first meeting on Jan. 24
th, 1975.
Idaho has won the past three meetings against Eastern Washington.
