MOSCOW, Idaho—The Idaho Vandals women's basketball team will travel to Cedar City, Utah to face Southern Utah Monday Jan. 27
th, at 5:30 p.m.
The Vandals (11-5, 6-1) are coming off a 57-46 win over Northern Colorado on Saturday.
Saturday's game at Southern Utah marks the 19
th meeting all-time and the seventh meeting in Cedar City.

SCOUTING IDAHO
Idaho enters its eighth conference game of the season against Southern Utah Monday night 11-5 overall and 6-1 in Big Sky play. The Vandals enter the road contest 5-3 on the season away from Moscow and riding a four game win streak.
Gina Marxen leads the Vandals in scoring this season with 13.1 points per game and in assists with 3.6 per game. Marxen dished out a team-high six assists. The sophomore from Sammamish, Washington leads the Big Sky in three-pointers made (50) and three-pointers made per game (3.1). In addition, Marxen leads the Big Sky in minutes player per game with 37.5.
Beyonce Bea is right behind Marxen, averaging 12.4 points per game. The freshman from Washougal, Washington is playing an average of 34.7 minutes per game this season, more than any freshmen in the conference. Bea lead the Vandals with a team-high 13 points against Northern Colorado and has scored in double-figures a team-high 10 times this season.
Lizzy Klinker rounds out a group of three players averaging double-figures this season with 10.8 points per game and chipped in eight points against Northern Colorado.
Natalie Klinker recorded a team-high 10 points last time out against the Bears marking her fourth consecutive games with at least 10 rebounds.
Idaho continues to lead the Big Sky defensively in field-goal percentage defense and scoring defense.
The Vandals are 10-1 on the season when leading at halftime.
SCOUTING SOUTHERN UTAH
Southern Utah (9-7,3-4) will host the Vandals Monday night in Cedar City, Utah. The Thunderbirds are just 3-4 in conference play and enter the contest 8-0 overall at home on the season.
The Thunderbirds are led by a trio of players averaging in double-digits offensively this season. Rebecca Cardenas leads SUU and the Big Sky with 17.7 points per game. Harley Hansen and Shalyn Fano are contributing 14.1 and 10.4 points per game, respectively, behind Cardenas.
Ashley Larsen leads Southern Utah on the boards with 6.3 rebounds per game.
The Thunderbirds are averaging a Big Sky Conference fourth-best 71.8 points per game this season.
LAST TIME OUT VS SOUTHERN UTAH
Idaho and Southern Utah last met on Feb. 23
rd, 2019 in Moscow. The Vandals topped the Thunderbirds 77-49 last season.

Idaho holds a 14-2 advantage all-time over the Thunderbirds and are currently on 12 game win streak in the series. Head Coach

CHASING 200: Head Coach
Jon Newlee recorded his 200
th win at Idaho and the 359
th of his career against Eastern Washington last night in a 69-60 win. Newlee is the all-time winningest head coach in the history of Idaho Women's Basketball.
