NOTES 

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Women's Tennis team will play its second dual match of the season against the BYU Cougars just a few miles down the road in Pullman, Washington on the campus of Washington State University Friday Jan. 31^st. Start time is set for 3 p.m. PT.
Just one game into the season the Vandals are 0-1 in dual matches with a lost to Washington State last week, 7-0.
RECAP:
WSU defeated Idaho 7-0 in the season opening match on Jan. 18^th. The new look Vandals featured two newcomers in the singles lineup. Freshman Andjela Todorovic and junior transfer Melissa Huchet each made their dual match debut against WSU.
Laura Spataro debuted in the number one singles spot for the Vandals against WSU, falling short, 6-1, to Michaela Bayerlova.
SCOUTING IDAHO:
The Vandals bring back four players from last year's Big Sky runner up roster, including second team All-Big Sky selections Laura Spataro and Marta Magalhaes.
Spataro, a junior has 24 career singles wins to lead the Vandals while Maggie Chen leads the team in career doubles wins with 23 all-time.
SCOUTING BYU:
BYU enters the neutral site contest 2-0 on the season in dual matches. The Cougars defeated Weber State 5-2 on Jan. 18^th before knocking off Grand Canyon 4-3 on Jan. 24^th.
Kate Cusick Truman is 2-0 on the season for the Cougars, competing in the number one singles spot during both matches. Truman defeated Weber State's Patty Kuo 6-4, 6-2 before taking down Grand Canyon's Emilia Occhipinti 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
BYU finished 11-11 last season and 4-5 in conference play while the Vandals posted a 13-9 win-loss record, including an 8-2 mark in the Big Sky.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS BYU
Idaho and BYU will meet for the just second time all-time on Friday. The Vandals are 1-0 against the Cougars all-time with a 4-2 win on Feb. 25^th, 2012. BYU and Idaho have only met on a neutral court in Pullman.
