Coach Claus started things off for the Vandals on Pluto TV. He discussed a unique summer with bonding and learning happening solely over zoom.
Â
"We're very grateful to have them back. We're glad that we're up and running here on campus and looking forward to the season.
Â
Coach Claus praised the five newcomers to the team. This will be the first year in the Silver and Gold for freshmen

Â
"Our new guys have been terrific. They've come in eager; they've come in with a work ethic. They're also being extremely coachable.
Â
He also talked about how important the five seniors have been, especially in these unprecedented times. He praised their leadership and value in helping the newcomers fold into the team. Blakney is joined in the senior class by

Â
"They've been a really good example in terms of how we do things. They understand what's expected. They understand the accountability for yourself and holding your teammates accountable… They've been a mentor to the incoming guys… You lean on your seniors and for us, fortunately, we have five terrific ones who are doing a great job so far."
Â
Senior
Scott Blakney also talked about the upcoming season. He talked about the team coming together, and how he is helping the newcomers come in and adjust.

"What I'm trying to do is help a lot of the newer guys, the younger guys. Show them what we do, how we do it."
Â
Blakney also talked about the uncertainty of the season and preparing for his senior year.
Â
"It's kind of unreal and there has been that uncertainty… but it's starting to feel very real. I'm excited for that."
