MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho Men's Tennis team will hit the road this weekend to face Boise State Saturday, Feb. 28th at 10 a.m. in a non-conference match ahead of conference play next week.

Idaho (4-3) enters the contest following a 4-1 loss at Gonzaga last weekend, 4-1.

The Broncos enter the contest (6-5) on the season and 0-1 in the Mountain West conference. Boise State has dropped their last three contests, falling to San Diego State, 4-3, most recently.

For the Vandals, Francisco Bascon leads the way so far. Bascon has played in the number one singles spot six times this season and in the number one doubles spot during all seven matches. Bascon and Althaf Dhaifullah are both 4-3 overall on the season and lead the Vandals with four singles wins each. Dhaifullah has spent majority of the season in the number two spot but appeared in the number one spot two weeks ago against George Fox, winning 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 over Will Leach.

Bascon and his doubles partner Esteban Santibanez have played in the number one doubles spot during all seven matches this season and are 6-1. The duo's only loss of the season came against Portland and have won three consecutive matches since then.
