Men's tennis falls short in Boise

BOISE, Idaho— The Idaho men's tennis team (4-4), fell to Boise State on the road in Boise this morning, 7-0.

All three doubles matches were a battle, but the Vandals fell just short in each match. Guilherme Scarpelli and Esteban Santibanez fell 7-5 to Blake Bayldon and No.56 ranked Arca Costas, in the No. 1 spot.

Althaf Dhaifullah and Bruno Casino battled in the No. 2 spot for a win, 7-6 (8-6), over Michael Bott and Wyatt Demulling.

In the No. 3 doubles spot, Adam Taylor and Vivek Ramesh battled hard but fell short 7-6 (7-2) to Kemal Karagozoglu and Kyryll Kryvchun, as Boise take clicnhed the doubels point.

"We had a lot of opportunities that didn't quite go our way, but there are a lot of positives to take away from today," said Head Coach Daniel Hangstefer. "While we didn't get the doubles point, we were very solid, and we are moving in the right direction for doubles."
