Trevon Allen Earns All-Big Sky Accolades

BSC RELEASE

FARMINGTON, Utah –
After a record setting senior season, Trevon Allen has been named to the All-Big Sky Conference Second Team, the BSC announced on Tuesday.

Allen finished the regular season averaging 21.1 points per game, good for second in the league and 17th nationally. He scored in double figures 26 times this season, and 17 times scored at least 20 points. During a six-game stretch earlier this year, Allen scored at least 20 points in each game. The senior has had four 30-point outings this season, including his first career double-double in a win over conference champion Eastern Washington. Allen posted back-to-back 30-point games in the final two games of the regular season. On his Senior Day, the Lapwai, Idaho, native dropped 33 points to lead the Vandals to a win over Idaho State.

Allen enters postseason play having etched his name in the Vandal record books. During his four-year career, Allen has scored 1360 points which is eighth in school history. He was just the 17th Vandal to reach 1,000 points when he reached that milestone earlier this year. Allen sits in seventh on the single season scoring list, having scored 612 points this year.

Mason Peatling of Eastern Washington was named the Most Valuable Player, while his coach Shantay Legens was voted Coach of the Year.

Allen and the Vandals take on Southern Utah in the first round of the Big Sky Championships. Idaho will play SUU at approximately 12 p.m. mountain time/11 a.m. pacific time on Wednesday, March 11 in Boise.
