BIG SKY RELEASE

FARMINGTON, Utah – Valeria Patino has brought home some hardware, earning Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
 
Patino led the Vandals at the BYU at Entrada Classic in St. George, Utah.  She finished at 5-over for the tournament, good enough for a tie for seventh place.  Patino only got better as the tournament went on, shooting a 2-under 70 in the final round to pace the field.  Only two student-athletes broke 70 during the tournament.
 
The Vandals took fifth overall among an impressive field.
 
The Vandals were originally scheduled to next travel to Mexico for the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational, but that event has been canceled due to concerns over COVID-19.  The team has preliminarily scheduled a replacement tournament in Las Vegas next week instead.
