ST. GEORGE, Utah – A strong opening day for Idaho women's golf has the Vandals alone in fourth at 33-over after two rounds of play at the BYU at Entrada Classic.
North Texas is the only team under par, and is currently leading the way by 21 strokes at 3-under. Iowa and BYU are separated by just one stroke in second and third.
Vicky Tsai was Idaho's top performer on day one. Tsai shot a 2-over 74 to open play, then improved with a 1-over 73 in the second round to finish tied for sixth at 3-over.
Valeria Patino also improved from round to round. She opened with a 4-over 76, then shot a 3-over 75 in the second round to move into a tie for 13
th heading into the final day.
Danika Palm was the biggest mover between rounds. Palm jumped 22 spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 2-over 74 in the second round. She is currently tied for 30
th at 11-over.
Eddie Hsu is tied for 39
th at 13-over.
Competition in Utah wraps up on Tuesday morning.
