MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho's men's golf team cracks the top five in the preseason conference polls. The polls were voted on by league coaches and were not allowed to vote for their own team.

Idaho received 14 points for the fifth-place position, trailing Southern Utah by just five points.

"Our schedule should be a great preparation for the Big Sky championship in late April," said head coach David Nuhn. "That is always the focus, being as prepared as possible to win that conference title." 

The Vandals will have six tournaments this Spring to prepare for the Big Sky Championship. Idaho will prepare to make their climb in the rankings in two weeks with the goal of winning the conference title in sight.

Sacramento State and Northern Colorado are tied with three first place votes, but Sacramento State leads by one total point.

The Big Sky Championships will be played in Boulder Creek in Boulder City, Nev. This three-day event will begin on Sunday, April 25 and run through Tuesday, April 27.

The Vandals will tee off their Spring Season on Feb. 8 at the Nick Watney Invitational down in Fresno, Calif. To follow along with the team, live results will be updated frequently and can be accessed here. Full recaps after the conclusion of play of each round will be posted at Govandals.com.
