CHENEY, Wash. – Eastern Washington scored a pair of touchdowns in the first seven minutes of the game and cruised to a 71-21 win over the Vandals Saturday at Roos Field in Cheney.
 
The Vandals tallied 319 yards, including 182 yards on the ground, but the defense couldn't find a rhythm against the EWU offense.
 
Zach Borisch scored his fourth rushing touchdown in three games when he scored a on a 75-yard run in the first quarter.
 
Andre Carter scored a three-yard rush in the second quarter and added a score in the fourth.
 
The Vandals fall to 2-4 on year and 1-2 in Big Sky play.
 
Idaho returns home for the next three games. The Vandals host Montana next Saturday in the Kibbie Dome before welcoming Northern Arizona on Oct. 30 and Southern Utah on Nov. 6.
