EWA BEACH, Oahu – The Vandals concluded the final round of the fall season by finishing 14th at the Hoakalei Warrior Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Jose Suryadinata remained steady through the final round of play, leading the Vandals with a total score of 72-73-75= 220 to finish in a tie for 18th.
Suryadinata supplied four birdies to his scorecard on the final day to shoot 3-over, 75. Teammate Colt Sherrell fell two spots on the leaderboard but stayed consistent throughout the round to finish tied for 29th in the individual standings after shooting a score of 6-over (222).
Matt McGann and Joe Gustavel slipped down the leaderboard on the last day of play with McGann finishing play with a score of 21-over (237) while Gustavel scored 23-over, 239.
Travis Hansen ended the tournament with a final score of 43-over, 259.
San Diego finished as the team champion in the two-day invitational, shooting a score of 7-under (857). Charlie Reiter of San Diego took home first place in the individual standings after shooting 8-under, 208.
The Idaho men's golf team will return to competition Jan. 21-22 at the Duel in the Desert in Scottsdale, Ariz.
