POCATELLO, Idaho – Idaho scored a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and the Vandal defense notched the first shutout since 1997 and the Vandals earned a 14-0 win over Idaho State in the ICCU Battle of the Domes.
Trase Letexier scored a one-yard touchdown on the Vandals' first drive to give Idaho the 7-0 lead with 11:12 remaining in the first quarter.
The Vandals added a score with 1:37 left in the first on a three-yard run by quarterback

The defense did the rest. Holding Idaho State to just 246 yards, including just 51 yards on the ground. The Bengals made it to the red zone twice but missed two field goals.
Charles Akanno led the stifling Vandal defense with four sacks, including a strip-sack.
Sean McCormick tallied a team-high eight total tackles.
Borisch was 5-9 for 88 yards throwing and led Idaho rushers with 64 net yards.
The win caps the season that saw Idaho go 4-7 overall and 3-5 in Big Sky Conference play.
