CHENEY, Wash -- The Idaho volleyball team falls in four sets (25-22, 13-25, 22-25,15-25) to Eastern Washington on Tuesday night.
Senior Nikki Ball had another impressive night with 13 kills and a .480 hitting percentage. Allison Munday also provided double digits in kills with 10.
Eastern Washington scored early but, Idaho came back and traded points throughout the remainder of the set. Idaho tallied 15 kills to Eastern Washington's nine to take the opening set, 25-22.
The Eagles would come out firing on all cylinders in set two with 13 kills and six service aces to even the match.
Idaho started with a 4-0 run behind three kills and an attack error from EWU in the third frame. The Eagles answered by regaining the lead midway through the set and ultimately earned the set win, 25-22.
EWU carried the momentum into the final set of the night, forcing the Vandals into eight attack errors to take the match, 25-15.
The Vandals fall to 5-19 while EWU improves to 11-12 on the season.
Idaho wraps up the regular season at home on Saturday night in Memorial Gym when they host Northern Colorado at 6 p.m.
