MOSCOW, Idaho - The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program recently hired
Jeff Fiebelkorn as an assistant coach specializing in the sprints, hurdles, and relays. Coach Fiebelkorn joins the Vandals after spending the past two seasons at the University of Minnesota Duluth track and field program as an assistant coach.
After a shortened 2019-2020 season due to COVID-19, the 2021 season saw tremendous success for the sprints, hurdles, and relays groups working with Fiebelkorn. Nineteen UMD top ten all-time marks were established by student-athletes under his guidance, with three school records and multiple top three finishes at the Northern Sun Outdoor Conference meet.
A native of Baxter, Minnesota, Fiebelkorn graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead in 2015 with a B.S. Degree in marketing, an A.A. degree in graphic design, and a master's degree in coaching and athletic administration.
"Jeff is a young and passionate coach who fits our mission here for Idaho track and field and cross country," Director of Track & Field/Cross Country
Tim Cawley said. "We are excited to have him work with the sprints and hurdles and continue the success we have had in this area."
