MOSCOW, Idaho – This week's focus of Vandals in the Pros will be on our Vandal men's basketball players who are still achieving success at the professional level.
Arkadiy Mkrtychyan and the Mad Foxes stun top ranked Vahakni City in a 94-93 win to claim the Armenian League Championship. During the final, Mkrtychyan scored 20 points and was the second leading scorer for the Mad Foxes. Mkrtychyan, who averaged 15.3 points and 13.4 rebounds per game this season, ends a terrific season holding the Armenian League Cup.
Trevon Allen continues to be a focal point for Polpharma Starogard Gdanski in the Polish leagues. Allen averages a team-high 19.3 point per game, while ringing in 5.1 rebounds per game. Polpharma currently sits in last place in the standings with five games remaining. Allen looks to continue his solid play and end the season strong.
Brayon Blake has helped lead Sigortam.net back into the playoff mix, winning three straight games with three games remaining in the regular season of the Turkish League. Sigortam.net is only one game behind the playoff-cut in an extremely close and competitive field. Blake, who is averaging 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, and Sigortam.net will need to continue this momentum as their playoff push continues.
Victor Sanders is averaging 9.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while coming off the bench for Trento in Italy. At the mid-way point through the season, Trento sits in 12
th place within the standings.
