JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. – Idaho's men's golf team is back in action Monday, Feb. 22 for the Joust at Goose Creek hosted by California Baptist University. The two-day competition will be played at Goose Creek Country Club, with the first two rounds to be played on Monday.
 
THE COURSE – Goose Creek Country Club will feature a 6,861-yard course that will be played as a par-70.
 
THE FIELD – This 14-team field will feature Idaho, the hosts California Baptist, Oakland, WSU, GCU, CSU Fullerton, Pacific, Utah Valley, UC Santa Barbara, Loyola Marymount, Sacramento State, North Dakota State, UC Irvine, and UC San Diego.
 
THE LINEUP – Traveling for the Vandals will be graduate student Sean Mullan, freshman Joe Gustavel and Jose Suryadinata, and juniors Colt Sherrell and Jack Plaster
 
COACH NUHN ON THE TOURNAMENT – "The team is excited and ready," said head coach David Nuhn. "Regardless of the weather in Moscow, our Indoor facility has allowed us quality practice and preparation time since our last event and they guys are feeling really good. A strong practice round with Colt and Jack having played the course in last year's event will help us know some things to provide the new players in this event. That knowledge from last year is invaluable and will lead to a calm feeling come Monday's 36-hole day. Excite to be able to compete again."
 
LAST TIME ON THE GREEN – Last time the Vandals were on the green, Idaho finished in a tie for 6^th place with a total score of 4-under, 860. Freshman Jose Suryadinata lead the Vandals in his first tournament by carding an 11-under and finished in 3^rd on the individual rankings.
