JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. – The University of Idaho's men's golf team places in 3
rd after the final round of The Joust at Goose Creek. In a competitive 14-team field and some extreme weather conditions, three Vandals place within the top-10 of the individual leaderboard.

"Team feels great," said head coach
David Nuhn. "Today was a very solid day in terms of our grit and determination. Never easy to play near the top of the leaderboard. I felt our young team handled it really well and we take tremendous positives away from this event."

Leading the way for the Vandals was Graduate Student
Sean Mullan, after ending his second round with three straight birdies, Mullan picked up where he left off, carding a 2-over in his final round. While carding a three-round score of 5-over, 215. Mullan placed in a tie for 4
th after 36 holes.

Not far behind Mullan is freshman
Jose Suryadinata and junior
Colt Sherrell. Suryadinata caught fire on the front nine in the final round of play, sinking three consecutive birdies. Suryadinata finishes 7-over, 217 to tie for 7
th. Sherrell was just one stroke behind, as he wrapped up his final round with a score of 1-over, 71. Sherrell finished in 10
th with a three-round score of 8-over, 218.

Junior
Jack Plaster carded a three-round score of 23-over, 233 and finished in a tie for 66
th. Freshman
Joe Gustavel placed 81
st with a total score of 29-over, 239.

Loyola Marymount held on to first place, carding a total score of 12-over, 852. Individually, Gavin Cohen from Loyola Marymount won the sole possession of first place with a three-round score of 1-under, 209.

The Vandals will host the Bandon Dunes Championships on March 7 and will run through March 9.
