Â
McCausland, a cross country and distance runner from Portland, has earned a 3.71 cumulative GPA while working towards a degree in Operations Management.
Â
"My favorite class right now is my system and simulations class," McCausland said. "We started a real-world project, and I am happy to have resume experience that I can have for the future."
Â
"I am one of two seniors on the team right now, and so being a leader right now has affected how I work with my teams."
Â
McCausland plans on entering the tech industry after his academic career.
Â
Both student-athletes were appreciative of the recognition for their continued dedication in the classroom.
Â
"It definitely pays-off," said McCausland. "To be recognized for something more than your athletic ability always feels good."
Â
"Being recognized is a little bit of a big deal for me," Flynn added. "It is nice to be recognized for our efforts on and off the field, and especially in the classroom."
