FARMINGTON, Utah (May 13, 2024) - The Big Sky Conference has announced its 2023-24 Winter All-Academic Teams for men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's indoor track & field. The Vandals had 58 student-athletes selected for their respective teams.
Of the 58 Vandals to earn the distinction, women's track & field led the way with 22 selections, followed by men's track & field with 20. Both men's and women's basketball teams had eight.
The Vandals had more than a quarter of the conference's 4.0 GPAs with 32 of the 111 total. 15 women's track & field athletes recorded 4.0 GPAs.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
