Vandals in the Pros - Feb. 24

MOSCOW, Idaho – This week's edition of Vandals in the Pros will focus on some of the Vandal pro basketball players that have taken their careers to the next level after their time in Moscow.

Victor Sanders and Trento are 12th in the Italian League standings and sit one game back in Group F in the Eurocup. Sanders, a 6'5" guard who graduated in 2018, is averaging 9.9 points per game while hauling in 2.2 rebounds per game. Trento sits 2 games back from the playoffs.

Mikayla Ferenz has resumed her season with Luxembourg and led the Musel Pikes to a 3-point victory over fourth-ranked Residance. Ferenz was named MVP for her performance, scoring 27 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in 40 minutes. In just her second season as a pro, Ferenz is averaging 16.4 point per game and bringing in 5.1 rebounds per game.

Kyle Barone plays overseas in Japan for Tokyo Z. The big man averages 13.3 points per game and brings in 7.7 rebounds per game off the bench. Tokyo Z lost their double header against Sendai this past weekend but will look to build some momentum.

Brayon Blake has become a staple for Sigortam.net in the Turkey-TBL. The forward averages 17.2 points per game while bringing in 6.7 rebounds. Sigortam.net is coming off a big win, upsetting the top ranked Akshir Bid, 87-83. Blake and Sigortam.net are only 1 game behind the playoff cut.

Agueda Trujilio currently plays for Vienna United overseas in Austria. Trujillo averages 10.1 points per game and 4.8 rebounds. After a tough loss to higher-ranked UBI Graz, Vienna United has one more game until the post season.

Marvin Jefferson is the starting center for Akshir Bid in the Turkey-TBL. Although Akshir Bid suffered a loss to fellow Vandal Brayon Blake and Sigortam.net, they still hold the top spot in the rankings. Jefferson has been a key factor in Akshir's success, averaging 14.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
