MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football added a pair of local student-athletes to next year's roster with the spring signing period opening on Wednesday. Tyler Skinner and Brett Tommasini will join the Vandals in the fall.
Skinner, a 6-5, 285 lineman, helped lead Moscow to the playoffs in 2020, ultimately earning an upset win over Jerome in the first round. The local produce earned second team All-Idaho 4A honors as an offensive lineman in 2020, but also mixed it up as a defensive end. A versatile athlete, Skinner also competes on the basketball team at Moscow High.
Tommasini, the younger brother of current Vandal
Derek Tommasini, earned 5A All-Idaho First Team honors last year as a linebacker after helping to lead Eagle High to the number four ranking in the west. He was named the 5A Southern Idaho Conference West Defensive Player of the Year in 2020 as well. At 6-2, 200, Tommasini was primarily a middle linebacker, but also played some tight end. Tommasini also showed off his athleticism on the diamond and was being recruited as a baseball player.
The duo adds to an already
