MOSCOW, Idaho—Idaho volleyball continues Big Sky play on the road this week at Idaho State in the Battle of the Domes presented by Idaho Central Credit Union.

The Vandals and Bengals will first face off on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. followed by game two on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Reed Gym.

This weekend's road series is the first Big Sky road series for the Vandals this season. In their only other road contests of the year, Idaho split in a non-conference series at Portland State.

The Vandals are coming off a series sweep at home over Southern Utah, 3-1,3-0, having won three straight while the Bengals are just 1-3 on the season coming off back-to-back losses at Sacramento State. Idaho States only win of the season was at home against Montana, 3-0.
LAST MEETING: Idaho and Idaho State played each other once in 2019. The Vandals won the annual battle of the domes 3-0 in Memorial Gym.
Kennedy Warren led the vandals with 12 kills while
Avery Housley and
Nikki Ball chipped in nine each.
BRING OUT THE BROOMS: After returning home from a split series at Portland State the Vandals responded, sweeping Southern Utah in the two-game series. Idaho won the first game 3-1 and the second 3-0. After dropping the first set in match one the Vandals won the next six consecutive sets and are currently on a three-game winning streak.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Kennedy Warren was named the Big Sky Player of the Week for the first time this season on Tuesday after a huge weekend. Warren tied her career-high with 25 kills in the first game while hitting .304 and recording 14 digs. In game two she totaled 16 kills and a career-high three service aces.
RETURNING TO THE ROAD: After playing their first home games in 443 days the Vandals will return to the road this week against Idaho State in Pocatello. It has been 469 days since the two sides have met and 861 days since the Vandals have made the trip to Pocatello.
DOMINATING THE SECOND: On the season the Vandals are an undefeated 4-0 in the second set.
LEADING THE WAY: Kennedy Warren leads the Vandals and is tied for the league lead with 67 kills.
Nikki Ball leads Idaho and the Big Sky with 24 total blocks on the season.
DEFENSE WINS: The Vandals have excelled defensively throughout the season so far. Idaho leads the league in opponent hitting percentage. Opponents are hitting just .147 against the Vandals this year. The squad also leads the Big Sky with 83 block assists.
AT THE TOP: To begin the season, Idaho and Weber State are the only teams unbeaten in Big Sky play so far. Weber State sits at the top 4-0 in league play while the Vandals are right behind at 2-0.
