MEN'S RESULTS
SPOKANE, Wash. – The University of Idaho outdoor track and field teams were in action on Saturday at the WAR XIV Meet hosted by Spokane Community College.
Olivia Martin won the 100m in 12.13 and was third in the 200m (25.68). Meanwhile,
Camryn Crouch was second in the 200 (25.17) and
Lauren Paven was sixth (26.68). Crouch took first in the 400m (58.88). In the 400 hurdles, Franziska Stoehr was third (1:04.73) and Prabhasha Wickramaraachchi was fourth (1:04.88). Both move into the top 10 on the Big Sky performance list. The Vandal 4x100m relay team consisting of
Tayler LyDay, Crouch, Martin, and
Airiana Dargan won the event in 48.02. In the 5k,
Celie Mans was second in 18:40.43.
Julia Hayes won the high jump with a mark of 5'5"/1.65m.
Tayler LyDay took first in the triple jump with a leap of 39'3"/11.96m, while
Kalani Hardyway was third (35'9.5"/10.91m). Hardyway was also eighth in the long jump (15'4"/4.67m). In the shot put,
Hannah Ringel was first with a mark of 47'5.75" (14.47m) while
Erika Larsen was third (41'10"/12.75m) and
Victoria Rae was sixth (40'0.5"/12.20m). Rae also took fifth in the discus (133'0"/40.53m).
Spencer Barrera won the 200m (22.01) and was fourth in the 100m (10.85). Meanwhile in the 400m,
Caleb Hagan took second in 49.05, moving to seventh on the Big Sky performance list. In the 110m hurdles, Jurrian Herring finished second (14.54) and
Deyondre Davis was third (14.66). Vandals took the top three spots in the 400 hurdles, with
Alex Ayers leading the way, winning in 53.24. Davis was just behind in second (53.24) and
Cole Alteneder was third (55.62).
Ben Shaw won the 800m in 3:57.58. In the 3000 steeplechase,
Sam Fulbright finished second (9:53.50).
Joseph Ruddell won the high jump clearing 6'5"/1.96m.
Grady Leonard won the shot put with a mark of 55'11.25"/17.05m and was third in the hammer (183'6"/55.93). Meanwhile,
Cullen Williams took first in the hammer with a heave of 189'0"/57.62m and placed eighth in the discus (139'6"/42.52m). Williams now has the sixth best hammer throw this year in the Big Sky. In the javelin,
Nathyn Maller was second with a mark of 195'1" (59.46m) and is now 10th in the conference.
Next week the Vandals will split their squad. Part of the team will compete at the UNLV Invite in Las Vegas, while others will go to the Sam Adams Classic hosted by Whitworth in Spokane.
