Walker Earns More Recognition

AFCA Release

MOSCOW, Idaho
– Junior linebacker Tre Walker continues to bring in the hardware, this time earning American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) All-America Second Team honors.

Earlier this week, Walker and teammate Cade Coffey were named to the Associated Press All-America Second Team. Monday, Walker earned Stats Perform FCS All-America First Team honors.

Walker earned All-Big Sky First Team honors in unanimous fashion last month after leading the conference with 13.5 tackles per game. He finished the shortened spring season with 54 tackles over just four games, including recording 13-plus tackles three times. It is Walker's fourth All-America honor of his career, after the previous two this season and earning HERO Sports Sophomore All-America honors in 2019.

Walker was a finalist for the Stats Perform FCS Buck Buchanan Award, presented annually to the national defensive player of the year in the Football Championship Subdivision. He finished 10th in the final voting.
