Men's Basketball Inks Anderson

MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho men's basketball has announced the signing of Trevante Anderson, a transfer from the University of San Francisco.

"We are incredibly happy to add Trevante to our program. He is going to add a level of toughness, skill, and competitive spirit that we were looking for," said head coach Zac Claus. "We also believe that he will bring with him some natural leadership qualities that will propel us moving forward. This is yet another positive day for Idaho basketball."

Anderson played the last three seasons for the Dons. During that time, USF won 54 games, highlighted by a 22-win season in 2019-20 which ended in a WCC semifinal loss to Gonzaga. His freshman year, in which the team was 21-10, Anderson shot 43.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Originally hailing from Tacoma, Washington, Anderson will be making a return to the pacific northwest. He played his senior year at Rainier Beach High School, averaging 21 points, seven assists, and four rebounds per game. He earned First Team All-State, Washington State All-Tournament First Team, and First Team All-League while helping to lead his team to a second-place finish in the state tournament. He played his first three prep years at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, earning All-State, All-Area, and League MVP honors.

Anderson is the son of Juliet Hart and Jonathan Anderson.
