FARMINGTON, Utah – The University of Idaho placed 69 student-athletes on the 2020-21 Big Sky Winter All-Academic Teams, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.
The women's indoor track and field team led the way with 31 student-athletes earning a spot. Thirteen Vandals are multi-year winners, including
Nathalia Campos, Greta Kuhne, Eirka Larsen,
Erica Pecha, and
Malaina Thacker who have all earned the accolade for a fourth time.
The men's indoor track and field team placed 23 on the team. Eleven of the Vandals earned the honor for at least a second time.
Nine members of the women's basketball team were named to the All-Academic Team.
Nina Carlson,
Allison Kirby, and
Natalie Klinker all appeared for the fourth time.
The men's basketball team had six players earn a spot.
Scott Blakney wrapped up his career at Idaho with a fourth appearance, while
Gabe Quinnett made the team for a second time.
The full list of honorees is below. To be eligible for recognition, a student-athlete must carry at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) be on an active roster, and competed at least one term at the institution.
