MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football hosted its second scrimmage of the preseason on Saturday in the Kibbie Dome. The 2021 season, presented by Immunize Idaho, is now just two weeks away.
The regular season kicks off against Simon Fraser Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. in the Dome. Tickets are on sale now at GoVandals.com/Tickets or by calling the Vandal Ticket Office at 208-885-6466.
Head coach
Paul Petrino noted the effort and hard work of the team on both sides of the ball on Saturday. With a handful of projected starters taking a lighter day, those in attendance saw a lot from the younger Vandals.
Connor Whitney and
Colbey Nosworthy were both singled out for their efforts in the second scrimmage. Whitney linked up with
CJ Jordan on a number of occasions, including breaking away for a 65-yard score early in the session. Nosworthy was everywhere on Saturday, making plays at every level and recording one interception.
The Vandals return to the in-season practice schedule with classes starting on Monday.
