Box Score 2 MOON TOWNSHIP, Penn. – Idaho volleyball earned a split to open play at the RMU/Chick-fil-a Robinson Labor Day Volleyball Classic on Friday, defeating host Robert Morris and falling to Duquesne. The Vandals move to 2-3 on the season with the final match of the Classic against Liberty scheduled for Saturday.
The Vandals opened with a hard-fought loss to Duquesne in straight sets. Idaho was close throughout but was unable to get over the hump and earn a set win.
Allison Munday was tremendous for the Vandas, leading the way with 15 kills while hitting .345. Both
Delaney Nicoll and
Nikki Ball chipped in with eight kills each.
Idaho bounced back to take down the hosts, Robert Morris, in the second match of the day. The Vandals won the first, needing some extra volleyball to take the set 27-25. The next two sets also went to extra points, with RMU winning the second 26-24 and Idaho taking the third, 27-25. The Vandals took control in the fourth, 25-21, to win the match.
Munday yet again led the way, this time with 20 kills. Ball (12), Nicoll (10) and
Rachel Davis (12) also recorded double-digit kills in the win.
